The Coordinating Committee met on Monday, October 20, at 6:00 pm at the parsonage. Main items discussed:

• The Stewardship Campaign will launch November 2 and end with Commitment Sunday (and Advent Brunch) on Dec 7; the Campaign theme will be “Setting the Table”

• The parking lot will be seal-coated (completed on Tuesday of this past week)

• We are looking into piloting Tithely, a church technology platform that provides a suite of software tools for churches to manage online donations, church administration, and member engagement; cost would be about the same as we are spending now

• We are exploring a house-building mission day in North Chicago or Waukegan

• Halloween candy is ready for trick-or-treaters; we will also use the wooden stage pieces to create a fun photo-op for the kids

• Christmas trees have been ordered (from same place as last year) for our annual Christmas Tree Sale; we will have more tall trees this year; volunteer signups will begin in about two weeks

• Circle 1 will be coordinating its annual Kids Above All holiday gift drive

• Dec 14 will be the youth-led service/performance, and Dec 21 will be a “Musical Holiday Service” featuring the Chancel Choir

The next Coordinating Committee meeting was set for Monday, November 17 at 6:00 pm at the parsonage.
